Royal Society of Biology Postgraduate Poster Symposium

2nd May 2019, 10am start, 4th Floor, Vijay Patel Building Terrace, De Montfort University, Leicester, LE1 9BH.

Event description/programme:

This event is aimed at all PG students, and offers an opportunity to present their research in the context of a layman audience. Posters will be judged by a team of experts, with prizes for the most accessible and well-described projects.

The event begins at 10am with refreshments whilst students set up their posters, followed at 11am by an exceptional Keynote lecture from Dr Stuart Cantrill, Editor in Chief of Nature Chemistry, entitled ‘From knots to Nature’, which will be of value to all science-base dPGR students.

The keynote will begin with a welcome introduction from DMU Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Prof. Rusi Jaspal.

The keynote takes place in the Vijay Patel Lecture Theatre, 4.05. This will be followed by buffet lunch and poster judging, with prizes being presented at the end of the afternoon.
